Good afternoon friends. Winter decided to finally come in earnest on Friday. We got about 10 inches and a few more during the weekend. It's bitter cold and windy, but that didn't stop us from taking a little walk in the woods yesterday. It was so beautiful!
We had a fairly full weekend, with a get-together with friends to watch football playoffs, and dinner, games and more football with Drew & Maria, and Maria's friend Ryn yesterday.
Mr. Whimzie took Friday off so he could be here when the guys finished installing some new windows. We were a little hesitant to replace the historic windows, but it really needed it, and we're very glad we did. The kitchen is so much warmer now!
Hattie & Her Hen - available in my Etsy shop |
Today has been spent doing laundry and finishing up a couple more items for my Etsy shop....there are still a few more things in the works now that I hope to have listed soon.
I also want to let you all know that we have added more recipes to our family cooking blog. We'd love to have you head on over to The Crow's Crusty Loaf and become a follower today. We'll be doing a special feature on Super Bowl snack foods in the next couple weeks.
In addition, don't forget to join my newest swap! You can find out all the information by clicking the button on my right sidebar - sign-ups end January 27th. I've got quite a few gals signed up already but we would love to have YOU join in the
BUNNY HOP SWAP!
Enjoy the rest of your Monday!
Congrats on your snow! LOL You must live way up north. We've had a very mild winter so far in Ky.
ReplyDeleteGonna check out the bunny hop swap. Sounds fun.

Your snow pics are gorgeous. :) We are getting some now, but I'm pretty sure it won't be much.
ReplyDeleteI love following the recipe blog, and happy to see some recent updates. :)
Prim blessings,
Jessica
Your photos are awesome! I love the first one! Thanks much for sharing them! Have a super week! Hugs
ReplyDeleteYour snow pics are beautiful! I love walking in the fresh fallen snow and breathing the crisp air. I'm in s.e. Idaho and we still don't have any snow, but some is predicted this week. SO unusual for us to not have several inches already. Other than the temp, you'd think it was spring.
ReplyDeleteHeading over to check out your other blog. I'm always up for a new recipe!
Stay warm. (You know by having the windows changed out this time of year is what brought the snow, don't you? (smile)

So wish snow was in our forcast. Suppose to be in the middle 60's here by weeks end. Love seeing all the snow pictures. Love the one in the woods. Glad to hear you had a great weekend. Love Hattie and her hen. Hoping you have a great week. Stay warm and be safe in the snow.

Hi, Wendy. Just dropping in to say "Hi". We finally got some snow too. If it's going to be below freezing there should be some snow. I will look at your recipe blog, thanks for letting us know.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Susan
Looks pretty but cooooold. Are you Giant's fans? They've had a good year. Replacing windows makes such a difference. You wouldn't think you would (or should) have to do that in a house that's less than 20 years old, but I'm glad we did. I'd have wrestled with the historic issue, too, but with heating costs as high as they are you don't have much choice! You did a really good job dying the wool! ~Roberta
ReplyDeleteYour outdoors looks amazing. Of course we never get snow here by the beach but I grew up in Hobart, Tasmania under the mountain. I miss that such a lot. I'm a bit of a cold climate girl and it is so hot here rite now. Enjoy the football been watching here too. Happy days Chris
ReplyDeletePretty snow Wendy. We are in dire need of new windows also. They sure do make a difference. ~*~Lisa
ReplyDeleteSo Beautiful Wendy!
ReplyDeleteI want some snow so bad, but because I do I just don't think I will ever get any..lol

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, love your home! How nice to get new windows, I'm sure you can really tell the difference. Especially in the very hot and cold months.
