Day 8 of the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!

Welcome back to the
Ravenwood Whimzies Primitives
12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!

Did you have an opportunity to visit Deb's blog yesterday?  Oh my...her tutorial was just wonderful!  I love the look of vintage things, so her Christmas gift tag card holder project was right up my alley!  She was so helpful in providing all the pictures and some good instructions as well.  I love her recipe too!  Great job Deb! Egads, you ladies make me want to try each and every recipe...we're going to put on a few pounds this Christmas season!
If you missed Deb's blog post, just scroll down to my Day 7 introduction post, and you'll find a link to her blog there.

Today, we take another cross-continent trek, back to the eastern part of the US...where we stop off in Pittsburgh, PA, to visit with Denise of  The Krazy Kraft Lady -  KKL Primitives.  Born and raised in the "Steel City", Denise moved for 11 years to Hazel Park, MI, but returned to her hometown in 1984.  Did you know that Pittsburgh has more than 300 steel related business, but it it is also known as "The City of Bridges", as they have 446 bridges!  Denise also tells me that Pittsburgh has been ranked 6 times since 2000 as the most livable city in the continental US, for it's diverse cultural district, job prospects, safety and affordability...wow..no wonder she is proud of her city!

Denise (aka NeeNee) shares that on Christmas Eve, the entire family gathers at their home in pajamas, for their traditional 'snack' of shrimp cocktail, Italian hoagie ring, crescent roll sausages, hot buffalo chicken dip, spinach dip and meat pies!  Some snack!  They wash it all down with wine, beer and spiked eggnog for the adults, and hot cocoa and soft drinks for the kids.  After eating, everyone opens gifts.
Christmas morning is spent at their individual homes, where the grandchildren open gifts from Santa and their parents.  Christmas dinner varies between their home and two of her daughters' homes.  They usually bake a stuffed turkey and a ham with all the trimmings.

Denise loves that spiked eggnog, a 'must have' when she's baking cookies.  She also loves a good fruit cake, but one of her favorite treats is a homemade raisin bar 'cake' that her grandmother used to bake.  The recipe has passed from her grandmother to her mother, and now to Denise.

Denise is another talented crafter.  She makes some awesome prim creations, and you can find all of her goodies by checking out her Selling Blog and her Etsy Shop. You can also find Denise by visiting her personal or KKL Primitives business Facebook pages.  Be sure to give Denise some belated birthday greetings...her birthday was on Sunday, the 6th!

Without further delay, let's head on over to visit that Krazy Kraft Lady Denise now!

I will see you back here tomorrow for Day 9 of the Blog Hop!
Enjoy!
