Welcome August!

Now how did that happen??? Is it really August already?  This Summer is just flying by.  With projects outside, helping my parents, and taking time to just enjoy life, it seems that Summer is slipping away too fast.

Here's some things I've been up to lately....

Went to the produce auction and stocked up on goodies for preserving.

Prepped and canned some yummy spaghetti sauce for the winter.....

Made pickles....

Done some creating....... Santa is SOLD

Some woolie stitchin' with my friends...
Pickin' blueberries with the family....

Ah Ha - caught in the act of eating berries without paying for them!

Enjoying a fun blueberry pie.
A weekend in the life of Petie. We often get to watch Petie on weekends, while our son, Drew and his wife, Maria, sell their handmade soaps at local shows.  If you are interested in their soaps, see their great new website - link on my sidebar.

Picking the black raspberries that grow wild around our place.
Oh yes...this little boy has my heart.

Sewing up some decorative pillows for son, Scott & his wife, Stephanie's master bedroom.
Kayaking on a sunny Summer Sunday afternoon with the family....

I must mention that this was after an emergency trip back home to remove a three pronged fish hook from my index finger.  OUCH
Two little brothers at play, enjoying the swing set our neighbor kindly gave us for the grand-kiddos.
Drainage and more chicken coop projects....
Enjoying the view to the east from the veggie garden.
