Day 2 of The 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

Good morning everyone!

We're so happy you have joined us for
 Day 2
 of
 The Ravenwood Whimzies Primitives
12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!
Thanks so much for following along as we share our love of creating!

Yesterday we visited the hills of West Virgina, as I introduced you to Lecia of Farmhouse Prims.  She shared a wonderfully easy tutorial for a table runner (what a great way to use that 1/2 yard of Christmas fabric you have left from a previous project) and a Butter-Nut Snowball cookie recipe that is one of my favorites.  If you missed Lecia's post, just scroll down to yesterday's post, and you will find a little intro and link to Lecia's blog.

From West Virginia we travel to sunny Florida, where our next blogger, Vicky of Paintspots & Splinters, lives.  I've known Vicky for many years, first through Blogging, and then via Facebook.    We've shared swaps in the past, and I always treasure her creations.

Vicky lives on Lake Weir in Florida, where she was born and raised.  She's been married for 34 years and has 6 children.  Vicky feels so blessed to be able to use her time and talents to create, and believes her painting and sewing are better than any "therapy" a doctor could prescribe!  She's been painting for 25 years now, and recently ventured into creating primitive dolls and novelties.  In addition to her blog, you can find Vicky's creations on Etsy, Facebook and Twitter.

Vicky says her husband thinks he is the original Santa Claus.  They wait until Christmas eve when everyone is sleeping, for "Santa" to place the gifts under the tree. The traditional "Christmas PJs" are opened on Christmas Eve though, with a reading of the "Night before Christmas" and a selection of Bible scripture from the Book of John.
Her family's favorite Christmas treats are Date Nut Balls and Homemade Butterfingers (oh gosh, I need that recipe now).  Vicky says that no matter how old the children get, these are always must have seasonal treats.

Vicky's one talented lady, and I can't wait to see what she is sharing with us today....so let's click on over to her Blog, Paintspots & Splinters to say Hello!

I'll see you tomorrow, right here on my blog...for an introduction to our next talented lady.
