Wow, has it really been a month since I last posted? Time sure flies in the Summer. I hope you have had a wonderful Summer. We've been so busy, as I know many of you are also. It's a slow month in Blog-land, and in some ways, I look forward to Fall, when we slow down a bit and everyone posts more.
We started July out with a bang...with our annual bbq party for the 4th of July...and the next day I came down with the cold from Hell....I was down and out on the couch for two days, and didn't really regain my full energy until the third week in July. I'm still coughing now and then, but thankfully am back to new.
My MIL came to visit on July 16th. She stayed until Tuesday of this week, when she and Mr. Whimzie flew back to Idaho...he'll be back next week...and is having a wonderful time visiting all of his siblings back at home. The kids are keeping me company with many visits and invites to dinner. With my MIL visit, came many visits from family to see her, as well as an extended visit from her cousin, Dan, last weekend. We had a wonderful time, but I am glad for the slower pace the rest of the week....it seemed like I was having to fix a big dinner for guests every couple days.
During the time of her visit, we also had a chance to watch Peter over a long weekend when Drew & Maria traveled to Steubenville, Ohio for a conference at Franciscan University...oh my...I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that! I'll share just a few (okay...maybe it is more than a few) pictures of our weekend with Peter. I've also included a picture of one of our kayaking outings, as well as one of Allison, who is growing like a weed and is now walking and enjoying her new found freedom. She is such a smart little girl and talks so much.

Peter sleep so well when he was here....he wore himself out chasing the roosters and running around the yard. |

Peter LOVES to pull the stuffing out of my box and crawl into it. |
Homemade bread - yummy. Have to make some more as these loaves disappeared fast. |

Have a blessed weekend everyone.
