Scenes around the Finger Lakes

Hello friends!

Wow, has it really been a week since I posted!?
Time flies....been busy with life, farming duties and crafting.  The Mister & I are also heading up to Vermont tomorrow morning to see some sites and visit my sister.   Our oldest son, Scott and his lovely wife, Steph, will be house and critter sittin'.   Without their help, we wouldn't be able to get away at all. Hoping to do some pickin' in the awesome shops around the area.

Last weekend we went over to Scott's home, so that Mr. Whimzie could help Scott with some wiring, as they are redoing their kitchen.  Steph & I went to a wonderful estate sale, and I picked up a beautiful spindle bed and oak bed-side table.  Got great deals on them both, and I promise next week I'll nab some pictures of them.

As we drove over to Norwich last weekend, I was reflecting once again on how beautiful the Finger Lakes region of New York State is. The hills, forests, lakes, waterfalls, farms and wineries and beautiful architecture all create such a feast for the eyes, that I wanted to share a few snaps for my post today.  Enjoy...and if you ever want to travel to the area for a little R & R, please know that the doors to Ravenwood are always open!

Falls in Lansing, NY

Filmore Glen State Park

St Mary's Church, Cortland, NY (we used to attend there before we moved)
Taughannock Falls State Park, north of Ithaca, NY - one of my fav spots
My hometown, Phelps, NY

My favorite winery, Thirsty Owl, on the west side of Cayuga Lake

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!
Wishing you many blessings.
