WOW, What a whirlwind of a week and weekend we have had...been so busy my head's still spinning wondering where the time went. As you know, my nephew, Jake was here on his Easter vacation, so I didn't get a whole lot of anything done, except enjoying spending time with him. He did head over to Drew's late Friday for the weekend. That gave Mr. Whimzie and I a little time to do things around the house/yard. It was a beautiful day out on Saturday, and we started out by going to a new Flea Market nearby....I forgot my camera, so no pictures to share. We sampled all kinds of local goodies, like cheeses, wines, maple syrup and some freshly made apple cider donuts...just to name a few....and we came home with lots of goodies. We then went to a new antique shop I had seen the day before. It was a fun morning to spend with the Mister. We trotted on home and worked in the yard the rest of the day. Sunday after church we cleaned up the house and I made some macaroni salad for dinner, as my parents were coming (to pick up Jake) as well as Drew & Maria. Spent much of the day entertaining and fixing food. We topped the day off with a walk in the evening.
Last Thursday I was so excited to see the mailman pull into the driveway with a big package...because I knew it was the swap package for the latest swap I joined hosted by Amy over at
Bumblebee Lane. This time I was lucky enough to be paired up with Kendra from
Stone House Primitives and she certainly spoiled me rotten! I cannot even begin to say thank you enough to Kendra for all the time, love and thought she put into all my swap goodies. I oohed and aahed my way through the box chuck full of lovely wrapped surprises....and by the end of the box I was so overwhelmed by her generosity that a tear came to my eye. So, without further mushiness, I will share with you pictures of my goodies!

Everything was wrapped in red, white and blue with lovely ribbons to match. |
Adore this little wooden flag box, which Kendra filled with "W" note cards and some cute erasers |
Kendra also included these adorable CROWS letters, a candle, a frame, primitive star, star soaps with star tin and Americana cupboard tuck. |
...a stitchery in a frame (see the pic below for a close-up) lovely card, note pad and an Illinois cookbook chuck full of yummy recipes I can't wait to try. |
I nearly cried when I opened this lovely penny rug - it is just GORGEOUS! When our swap began, Kendra said she intended to create things for me 'that I wouldn't make for myself" and she hit the nail right on the head! I have always admired penny rugs and sweet prim wool pillows, but never find the time to make any for myself! |
Love this sheep pillow which now sits in the black rocker in our carriage room - it goes wonderfully, as I have a patriotic theme in there. |
Too cute! |
Kendra placed a note on the page for Genoa, Illinois (her town) and a recipe for Poppy Seed Salad that she says is mighty tasty...we're trying it this week. |
and finally, these adorable Prim flags! |
As I said, I still cannot believe how generous Kendra was to me and I thank her from the bottom of my heart. I have been truly blessed to get to know her better and learn of her generosity and great love of our Lord. May you be blessed, Kendra, ten fold for all the blessings you bestow on others. HUGS

It sounds like you had a wonderful relaxing weekend. I think it would be fun to go to a flea market with my hubby and look around and sample wonderful things from local vendors.
