Checking in After a Long Absence!

 Good afternoon dear friends.

 

Gosh, it has been forever since I posted....I am sure you all understand that life gets busy, and unfortunately, blogging isn't as popular these days as it once was.  Still, I like to keep in touch occasionally, in hopes that you will jot me a note in return to tell me how you are doing.

 Spring was a wet and cold time here in the Finger Lakes.  We had two large trees taken down in our front yard, and it was such a lot of work for the Mister and I to take care it all.  We cut, split and stacked enough wood to last us at least two, maybe three years.  Luckily our sons helped out when they could, and it was very much appreciated, as we aren't getting any younger!

We just returned from a vacation with the entire family to the Outer Banks.  We had such a great time, but it went way too fast!  We decided to treat the entire family this time, so that we could make some great memories all together. The kids had such a great time spending so much time together. We are certainly blessed.

 The Mister is back to work today, but we did manage to catch up on most of the yard work and garden picking yesterday.

Summer is always such a busy time, I haven't been in my sewing room to quilt or craft...maybe next month!
