A Little of This & a Little of That

Good morning Prim Friends

Winter finally decided to make an appearance this past weekend.  It started out with some bitter cold....and I'm talking -18 degrees on Sunday morning.  I took this picture Sunday morning...bright and early (ok...the sun was just starting to come up and it was just beginning to get bright).  It was taken along Owasco Lake as we were going to early church.    The 'warmth' of the lake compared to the bitter cold air, made fog on the lake...the picture doesn't really do it justice.  I couldn't stop looking at it, because it was simply beautiful, with the sun rising in the background.  In addition to the bitter cold this weekend, we had a blast of rain, snow, sleet and ice all of yesterday.  It made for very bad road conditions, and many of the local schools were closed for the day.  Thankfully, it seems like the remainder of the week will be much calmer.
Speaking of beautiful....
my sweet hubby got me these lovely yellow roses for
Valentine's Day.  I've always had a special place in my heart for yellow roses, as they were my dear Nana's favorites too.
A week or so ago, when traveling up to my parents, I caught up with this truck and followed it for about 20 miles.  It certainly gave me a chuckle all the way!  Allie was with me, but sadly, she had fallen asleep in her car seat and didn't get to see ole Bert & Ernie!

In other news, our
is sharing some wonderful recipes with all of our followers.

Last week featured my Bacon & Egg Cups. and this week our friend, Denise from The Krazy Kraft Lady is sharing a recipe from her Grandma for Nutmeg Cake!  Yum.  You can find both recipes by heading on over to the FAAP page!

Our team will also be having a giveaway in March - and I'll be donating an item for that, so stay tuned for details in the coming weeks!

Have a blessed day everyone!

  1. I love watching fog roll off the water, as the sun rises, such a peaceful way to start the morning. I have never been into red roses, but I do like the yellow ones.

  4. Your yellow roses are so gentle and sunny. They look like something warm for "special" weather.
