Happy Friday!

 Good morning Prim Peeps!

I've been meaning to write a blog post all week...but life has a way of getting in the way.  The last week has been an eventful one, so I'll bring you up to date.

Last Friday, Scott & Steph went house hunting...and the place that Scott thought he would like the least, ended up being their dream home!  There was an open house on Sunday at the same home, and they decided to go over once again to view the house.  Well, they accidently got there 1/2 hour earlier than the open house started and the owners were there.  The retired couple was thrilled to personally show them around the place, and that was all it took...they made an offer on Sunday afternoon and it was accepted.
Now, as the crow flies, it is about 5 miles from us, across the lake.  But anyone familiar with the Finger Lakes realizes that it isn't as easy as that!  The lakes are long and narrow, and 5 miles as the crow flies, turns into 20+ minutes, because we have to go around the bottom of the lake.  I told Scott we will just have to send up smoke signals!  They are very, very exited and closing is set for the beginning of June.

Last weekend, Chris &  our other son, Drew, went on the Men's Retreat at Notre Dame retreat house. Now Maria was a bit sad to think of being away from Drew for the entire weekend....but I know this girl...and all I had to say was ROAD TRIP and PRIM SHOPS and she was all on board for some girly fun!  She came over early Saturday morning and we traveled to western NY, with our shop map in hand.  We browsed and browsed, oohed and ahhed...and had a really nice time.  The only problem was, that Peter starting not feeling well, and by Saturday night, when we stopped at my parents to stay over night, he had a fever of 102.7.  Needless to say, neither of us got much sleep, but luckily Petie didn't wake my parents.  He ate and drank a little on Sunday morning, and we took him  to Mass and met the guys at the retreat house.  He had some juice and a bit of a donut there, and was walking around a little, but you could tell he just wasn't feeling well still.  We stopped at one more antique place on the way home, with a quick stop again at my parents to pick up our things, then headed on home.  Monday poor Peter took a turn for the worse, and he still had a fever, but could barely walk, was whiney and very lethargic and did not want anything to eat.  Off to the doctor he went, with a case of roseola to boot.  He was pretty down and out, and I was worried he may be dehydrated.   Tuesday I went to their home, and helped Maria with Petie.  I also did some housework and rocked him while she got a few things done.  Wednesday I headed over again, because Maria had an ultra-sound scheduled, and they didn't want Petie dragged out again.  By Wednesday afternoon, Peter was eating and drinking more, and actually walking around with a smile, so we knew the worst was behind us...but oh so scary.
Feeling better now!

Yesterday was absolutely LOVELY out and I spent most of the day working in the yard.  The girls were out, and I set up a little pen for the chicks too, so they could peck at the grass and enjoy the sunshine.  Allie rode her pony on the porch while I cleaned it up and put out Spring decors, and she also rode her pony on the patio and driveway while I raked.  She loves her little Rockin' Rider pony we got her for Christmas, and could spend hours on it.

Today I will be mailing out an order and a swap package for Amy, the it is out to dinner with my sweet hubby and friends for a fish fry.  We have the whole weekend to ourselves, as Scott  & Steph are traveling to Delaware to visit family.  Chris and I are planning a little get-away for Tuesday through Thursday next week.

It looks like a beautiful weekend ahead, and I plan to work out and enjoy it as much as possible.  It is so good for my soul to work hard outside....makes me feel so happy!   Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
