Day 11 of my 12 Days of Christmas Celebration - Paper Mache Snowman

Good morning everyone!  I welcome you back for the final two days of my

12 Days Of Christmas Celebration.

Today I'm sharing with you a very easy tutorial for a vintage look

Paper Mache Snowman.

This tutorial is provided by Rook No. 17.
The entire site is full of recipes, crafts and 'whimsies'....

I've got all the supplies on hand right now, so I'm going to attempt to create one of these adorable snowmen this week.  I hope you do too!

In other news, my Hubby's tests did not come out exactly as we had hoped.  The tumor tested as a slightly more aggressive type of cancer, but we will not know what these results will entail until at least Wednesday.  We try to remember that his cat scans showed no other signs of cancer and we'll hope and pray to our Lord for the best.  He has follow up appointments in the middle of the week, and his doctor keeps reiterating that 'he will be just fine...there is a 95% plus cure rate'.  So, I ask that you keep up the prayers for his complete healing.

As many of you know, my birthday was on Friday...and when Drew and Maria, and sweet little Petie came over for dinner, Maria had the biggest grin on her face...as if she was up to something...well gals...look at the amazing creation she made for me!

I was just blown away by her craftsmanship....and a little proud too, as it was I who have introduced and coached her on the primitive style...and she has just taken off and amazes me with her creations.
She's been very busy indeed lately, as she also created one of these fantastic pieces for her debut on the Olde Primitive Peddler...head on over to take a look at Maria's offering!

I hope you all have a blessed day!

See you tomorrow as we wrap up another Celebration...let's hope next year's is a little more personal and organized, and that all the troubles of this past month are long behind us.

  1. Wendy, I think you both will feel better when there is a battle plan in place. If the doctor is feeling positive that's a good sign...keep your spirits up. What a lovely birthday gift Maria made for you...you're only lucky gal. Hugs

  2. Know how you feel! If the doctor said that - 95% - then you have to trust your doc that he is right. I know...our minds work in funny ways...but I hope all will be good. Wed, you will know more. Your daughter's art work is fabulous. Just like her Mom!

  5. 95% is good news. Dad was given 50/50 and he is doing well. It's a long road but know you have a ready made support group and lots of prayers going up. Love your birthday gift! Warm Blessings! Amy
