Busy weekend and a little Halloween Fun

Wow, yet another week has just FLOWN by and I'm not exactly sure where it went.  The weekend wasn't slow either, as we had a lot of fun planned.
Saturday,  the Mister and I, along with Drew, Maria and sweetie Petie piled in the car for a day of fun.  The weather wasn't so fun with windy, cold and drizzy skies, but it didn't dampen our spirits.  We traveled around the Finger Lakes enjoying the scenery and visiting wineries and antique stores.  Maria's birthday was last Thursday, and she wanted to do something special to celebrate.  Some of the wineries were packed, but we found some not-so-crowded ones, enjoyed our tastings and listening to the stories behind each wine.  Petie enjoyed the crackers and other snacks that are often available at the wineries...it was a good day.

Having a little fun with the camera between stops!  Petie put his hand up just when I was taking the picture.

We also picked up our pumpkins at a place out in the country...all of them were $2 each...even my special green Cinderella ones. - it was a great deal.

Sunday we spent the day watching football, raking the last of the walnuts from the year, eating our Sunday dinner and carving pumpkins....pics to come of the pumpkins later.

I thought it would be fun to post a vintage Halloween picture each day til Halloween - just to see what costumes kids wore back in the "good ole days"!
What was your favorite costume growing up?
These critters are mighty scary!  Looks like they had snow for Halloween!
 Enjoy your day!

Looking forward to seeing the ones you carve. First time I have seen a photo of a green one. We must not have those in the South, lol! What variety are they?
