Flashback Friday

I was doing a bit of blog hopping this morning, and enjoyed the post made by Diane of Lavender Dreams, called Flashback Friday.  I thought...what a great idea!  I love looking at old pictures and wondering what people's live were like...how they felt about the world's happenings...who they loved...how long they lived...where they lived.  This is especially true when it comes to old family photos.

I've decided that each Friday I will share an old family photo.  It will get me inspired to frame and display more of these vintage treasures.  I want to be surrounded by family...by those whose lives and sacrifices were woven together, so that I too, may have life, family and friends.  Maybe these posts will inspire YOU to take another look at those old photos and hang some on your walls too.

Hope you enjoy this much treasured photo of my Grandmother (center) and two of her sisters.  I'm thinking dear little Mae wasn't too thrilled about having her picture taken.

  3. I LOVED seeing your Grandmother and her sister's. You are right Mae didn't look to happy about getting her picture taken but I have to say she is as cute as a button.
Thank you for sharing the old picture with us. I LOVE looking at old pictures. Those were the great times, even though it was a rough life for alot,I would rather have been born back then than now.
Everything was old fashion, calling someone on the phone and NOT what people do today like texting and I DON'T know how to do that and I DON'T facebook either.
This picture I saw how they also dressed up and how people help one another. You could if you needed a cup of milk you could send one of the kiddos to go over to the neighbors and ask for a cup of milk or sugar, etc. You get the point.
    Thanks so much for sharing.
    Hugs to you my friend,
    Tricia
