Whatcha working on Wednesday

Good morning friends!

It's a bright and sunny, but cold, morning here.  The sun feels so good streaming in the window on me as I sit here with my hot cup of coffee (compliments of my new toy...finally broke down and bought a Keurig last week).
Word has it that the chickens have settled into their new home and even laid 4 eggs their first morning away.  Thanks to all of you fellow softies who commented on my last post.
Yesterday I spent the day with Maria...she wanted to get started on a baby quilt, but didn't know where to begin, so I helped her shop for fabric and taught her some basics.  She drew her own design to applique, and we found some awesome fabrics.  She is so excited by how it is coming out so far.
I know there are a lot of pumpkin creations going around the internet, but I wanted to share the LINK for these, because I thought the stem idea was really unique.  Love the blog name, Happier than a Pig in Mud!  Hope you find some time to make some of these adorable pumpkins.

Off to work on a couple of vulture orders and also my swap and ornie packages.

Don't forgot to sign up for all the wonderful prizes donated by fellow bloggers, including me.  Just head on over to Brenda's Rusty Thimble blog by clicking on the link at the right.  The giveaway ends October 22nd!
Have a blessed day everyone.

  2. Hi Miss Wendy,

Vlad Vincent Vulture says "hi" but he isn't coming back cause he loves it here and he "vuldores" his new family.

You're makin' more vultures? You mean, like "kin", wow. Wait till I tell Vlad Vincent that he has vulatives.

Gotta go, Mom is giving him "indoor" flying lessons.

  4. I like how they came out and the use of jute for the stems.I always have jute in stock, love using it on all types of things, but never thought to use it with twisting around it to make a thick stem, very nice idea.
