My 12 Days of Christmas Share-a-thon!

Today I begin a series which I call my
12 Days of Christmas Share-a-thon.

Each day for the next 12 days, I will be sharing great holiday decorating ideas and recipes - you won't want to miss them, so keep coming back each day!

Day 1 - Making a Homemade Feather Tree

I love feather trees but not the prices. Wandering around the internet, I found this great tutorial for making your own for under $10. For this craft you will need:
  • one spool 14GA wire
  • 1 ball of "furry" yarn
  • small wire pliers with wire cutters
  • tall can around 5 1/2"
  • enough rice to fill the can
  • scissors
  • optional is one spool ribbon and glue gun
  • 2hrs

Click on the images to enlarge the tutorial and be sure to share a picture with me of your tree once you finish - I'll be posting them so everyone can see your handiwork!

  8. Woohoo, I got the pattern. Now to find fuzzy yarn. Sometimes it is not so great living in the boonies. I am looking somewhere tomorrow though.
