It has arrived! My Pin Keep from Valerie and MORE

Lookie what I got in the mail this weekend!  It's my pin keep from Valerie over at The Wooden Acorn.  She was my partner in the Pin Keep Swap I am hosting and isn't this the cutest!  I really love it Valerie! I think you did a great job and I hope everyone else is as lucky!  Thanks so much!
Don't forget that your swaps need to be mailed out by May 15th!

I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day.  My hubby decided that the best gift he could give was to take me 'antiquing'...so we drove around to a few shops and checked out a couple garage sales as well.  We had a lot of fun and although we didn't find too much we wanted to buy, we did find a couple of items.  First is my Planter's Peanut tin - I just had to have it because Mr. Whimzies LOVES peanuts!  The condition wasn't the best, and I need to clean it up,  but the front graphic was still very nice, and it will look cute on the long shelf in the carriage room of our new house.   At another place we found a treasure for our new dining room.  There is a lot of wall space in it and I thought this
would look lovely...and I was amazed that they were only asking $20!  It's nearly 41" long x 25" high.  We've taken to collecting old religious pictures and had already gotten a few prior to this trip.  We also spied a lovely inlaid round table and chairs at a sale, but we didn't buy it and now I wish we had.  I gave the lady my phone number and told her we were just starting to look for a small table, and if she didn't sell it to give me a call....but no call has come, so I guess it is lost to us.  I'm sure something else with turn up.  We are planning to give our present table and chairs to our son when we move, so we are in the market for a large table for the dining room and a smaller one for the kitchen.

My son and his wife purchased these sweet little old irons for me for Mother's Day, along with a garden flag that they thought would look good at the new house - aren't they sweet!  I love them.

Guess I'm caught up for now!  Have a lovely day!
