Yep, I'm still alive....

Things are getting back to normal now that the holidays are all over....I have to say I am somewhat glad for that.  Love the holidays but it is nice return to normal after all the company, hustle and bustle...I was breathing a sigh of relief Sunday evening. My nephew, Jake (12), came down for his school break (as he does every year) all of last week...the company has been non-stop it seems!
Our son, Drew is still home for his college break, and his bride-to-be will be arriving on Thursday for a 10 day visit.  We have been enjoying spending time with him.  We love to walk in the woods, sit in the hot tub, and play Scrabble - he's quite a guy.

New Years Eve was spent at our son, Scott's, home.  We fixed lots of tasty snacks and I made a punch bowl full of champagne punch.  We played games, rang in the New Year, then headed to bed.    New Years Day we took a hike in a nature preserve near Scott's home.  It was about 53 that day...a nice day to be outside.  I've posted a couple pictures below.

I have a couple of new patterns that I am working on, and hope to have them finished in the next couple of days.  I found myself quite anxious to get back into the sewing room!  I just love to create!  Sorry my post couldn't be more exciting, but I thought I should at least make an appearance this week - hehe.

Hope you are all having a great week.
