Enjoying the fruits of the harvest

Thought I would post a few pictures of the tasty treats I have made lately with all the produce available this time of year.  Last Thursday, I made and canned 17 jars of bread & butter pickles.  All the cukes we grew in our garden - lots more to come!

Last night our neighbors invited us to dinner, so I used some of the peaches I purchased at our local farm market, along with the blueberries we picked last month...and made this tasty peach-blueberry crumble.  I found this recipe at:
It is a delightful combination.  I also added some slivered almonds and about a cup of oatmeal to the crumble topping for extra crunch. Mmmm...just looking at the picture makes me hungry!
  Have a blessed day everyone!

  1. The peach blueberry crumble looks yummy! I have a love-hate relationship with my garden at this time of the year...I love the fresh produce but hate that it comes in all at once! Love bread and butter pickles.

  2. Hi Jean,
Your peach/blueberry crumble looks yummy!! I will have to try that recipe. Isn't it rewarding to have a garden and then can all the fruits of your labor!!
