Visiting a blogging buddy!

Hello Prim Pals!
I have to tell you about a little trip my dear hubby and I took last week.  We wanted to have a little get-away for our anniversary, and since I had been talking with Lecia of Farmhouse Prims about how fun it would be to come visit, we decided to make West Virginia our destination.
We left early Thursday, our anniversary, and traveled through central NY, central PA and a tad bit of Maryland.  We took our time and visited quite a few antique places along the way, and had a picnic lunch beside the Susquehanna River, before arriving at our hotel for the night.  After a steak dinner, we fell fast asleep to the sounds of crickets and katy-dids.  We got up early the next morning, because we wanted to get to Lecia's farmhouse in WV before noon.
We traveled through the mountains and down some pretty narrow roads, before we arrived at the house.  There on the porch was sweet Lecia and her hubby, Ronnie.

I was so excited to see her that I forgot to take pictures of the cabin.  I think my husband has some on his camera, but I haven't a clue how to download them onto my computer, so I only have my phone pictures to share.
We went into the farmhouse and it smelled so yummy...Lecia has a couple prim candles burning.  The house was so cute, and we could certainly tell that Ronnie had put a lot of hard work into renovating this once broken down place.  They had pictures on the wall of the house when they bought it...what a difference some TLC can make.
Ronnie and Lecia were wonderful hosts!  They fed us well and we had so much to talk about!  The guys talked like old friends, even though they have never met, and Ronnie told us some lively stories.  Ronnie took us for a fun jeep ride down the country roads and we visited an old general store, art shop/museum and beautiful little state park nearby.

Lecia gave me a big bag of wonderful goodies, including one of her handmade prairie dolls, a beautiful framed cross-stitch, a yummy smelling candle, a chicken garden flag, which is already hanging up out front, and a prim note pad.

it smells sooooo good!

Unfortunately, our visit was too short, and we had to leave on Saturday, but we certainly enjoyed ourselves.  Lecia and Ronnie showed us true southern hospitality when they let these Yankees strangers into their home and heart. Why not stop over at Lecia's blog to read about our trip!
Thank you Lecia and Ronnie!

John 15:12-15
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

Have a blessed day everyone.
