I finally broke down and did it.......

Yep....finally broke down and turned on the furnace this morning...it was COLD in the house.  I only turned it on just enough to take the chill off.  The weather here has been very cool for August...feels more like Fall.  Time is flying by again, and it's been nearly 2 weeks since I posted, so I thought I should take some time out from projects to say HELLO and give you a glimpse of what I have been up to lately.

Our anniversary was on the 13th, so Chris & I took a drive to Naples, had a picnic lunch, and walked up a gorge trail.  It was a sunny but cool day...and it was nice to get away for even a day.

Saturday we headed over to the great antique show and sale in Boulkville...I nabbed a few small items as well as this nesting box unit for my girls...it will be going in the new coop we are planning to build soon.
...and of course...NO festival is complete without some fried dough!
Petie enjoyed his first taste of it...as a matter of fact..he DOVE into it!
SLURP.

I've also been busy working on preserving - freezing and canning our bounty of goodies from the garden...I made one small batch of blackberry jam and another batch of blueberry.
...and....I've been working on this woolie work for myself!  Of course, when I saw this pattern I just HAD to make it.

I also have a room redo to share with you...but it will be fairly picture heavy, so I will save that for later in the week....until then...take care dear friends.
Have a blessed week!
