Good afternoon everyone.
Hope you had a fun and safe Labor Day weekend. For many, Labor Day marks the end of Summer, but I prefer to think of it as the beginning of Fall. Fall is such a lovely time of year, and I am looking forward to the colors of the trees, the pumpkins and gourds, apples and cider, and so much more. We are so blessed to live in an area with rolling hills, farmlands and lakes, and it certainly does come alive in the Fall.
I had a quick visit from my older sister this past weekend. She lives in Vermont, and we usually manage to see each other only once a year, so it is always a special treat to have her at our home. We enjoyed the lovely weekend weather, a few games, great food and a wonderful thunderstorm to top off the weekend. I couldn't take any pictures, as my camera is officially dead. Will be ordering a new one tonight....I loved my little camera and was hoping the Mister could fix it, but he had no luck...boohoo.
Today I started watching baby Allie full time, as Scott & Steph began teaching today. It's going to be a bit of an adjustment for me, and I'm going to have to get used to the idea that I'm not going to get as much done, craft-wise, as when my time was my own...but I do believe it is a better thing to take care of her and make sure she has all the love and attention she'll need while her dad and mom are at work.
For those who joined in the Pin Keep swap, please remember that your packages are due to be mailed by September 5th...that's only a couple days away! If you have any problem meeting the deadline, please contact me and your partner. I hope you all had a wonderful time creating! Can't wait to see them all.
Finally, the OFG team is having a special celebration starting Sept 16th. Be sure to stop by ETSY, type in FFCOFG to find all the wonderful creations the Old Farmhouse Gathering team has for you.
Have a lovely week ahead!
