Lots of catching up to do! Pictures galore.

Hello dear friends.
I have been a very bad blogger lately, and I do apologize, but life seems to be getting in the way lately...maybe THIS week will be more normal!

We are still adjusting our schedules and lifestyle to having a full house with our son, Scott, DIL and baby Allie.  Things are starting to settle into a routine, and once they start teaching after Labor Day, we'll all be back to normal.  It's been a month full of trials, as the Mister searched for a new job...and I have good news....he got a new job in the same company,  different building and division, and most importantly different people to work with.  He gets to keep his old salary (yippee) and benefits.  He started today and already feels that this job will be so much better...the whole atmosphere is much nicer and he is already well acquainted with a few of the guys...so all is turning out good.  We are truly blessed and hope that he will be able to finish off his career in this job.

We had a lovely time on our anniversary.  We took a boat cruise and dinner.  It was fairly chilly and windy that evening, so it could have been a bit nicer, but it was fun none-the-less.

The following weekend, we traveled to the great Madison-Boulkville Antique show.  It's a week long show and vendors from all over come to sell their antiques.  It's like HEAVEN and I get so excited the closer we get to the fields and fields full of goodies.   We mostly looked, but I did buy some vintage spools and we also bought a wonderful old mantel clock.  We've been wanting one for a long time, and when we heard it chime, we were sold.  It needs a little cleaning, but it's a lovely old piece.

Yesterday Drew, Maria, Petie, the Mister and I went to the New York State Fair.  It was a hot and sunny day, and we enjoyed all the sites, smells and sounds of the Fair.  Here's a few snaps of the day.
Having a bit of squirrely fun with Petie

We spent a long time in the chicken section of the poultry barn - thought this guy was crazy looking.

A portion of the annual sand sculpture...gotta love those chickens!

Loved the butter sculpture in the Dairy building - a cow as the Statue of Liberty (holding an ice cream cone)

Farmers in their jeans, overalls and plaid shirts, seeing who's horse team is the strongest!
After a couple of wine slushies and a fried dough to top off the day....we were all pretty tired, especially sweetie Petie.

Our OFG Etsy group had a little swap recently...entitled FRIENDS...and we had to include an item that started with each letter of the words FRIENDS.  I received my package this weekend from Lucy at The Farmers Attic.  She included all these wonderful goodies and I wanted to thank her for them all!  Thank you LUCY!
Fabric, Rusty metal ornies, Inspiration reading, Eggs and earrings, Needles, Doily, Soap
  Thank you Lucy!

Yesterday I found out I was a winner in Debbie's latest giveaway over at her Woolen Sails blog.  Debbie is so generous and offered a free pattern to her winners, so you can bet I hopped right on over to her site and picked out this wonderful one entitled "SPELLBOUND".
THANK YOU DEBBIE!

Late last week the Mister and I started working on the steps and porches of our home.  We got most of them power washed and I got some of them painted....but we have a lot more work to do.  I was hoping to get a second coat on the main entry today, but ole man weather decided he would rather rain...bah.  Here's some before pics...hope to be able to post afters soon!  These are all before pics.
Still needing a lot of work!  Once they are done, I plan to stencil the risers...with....what else, but a little prim scroll design and a crow in the middle!

The door is soooo overdue to be painted too...I am still trying to decide if I want to be adventurous in my choice or not.  I know many of you said red, but I do have another 'unexpected' color in mind....time will tell.

I've been busy on several new creations that are about ready to be unveiled, as well as a couple of custom orders....always so busy.

I'll try to get back to blogging regularly now, and will be back in a couple of days with some pictures of my new 'babies'.
Until we meet again.....enjoy the campfire we had last week.
 Wishing you Prim Blessings!
