Good morning friends. Tis a bright and sunny, but cool, morning here in Central New York. Feeling the sun stream in the windows is good for the soul! I'll try to bottle it up for those dark and dreary winter days yet to come.
Mr. Whimzie and I spent a lot of time outside this weekend, puttering around. He was finishing the insulation in the ceiling of the chicken coop and I just couldn't resist this picture of sweet Phyllis, lending a helping "wing" to the project. There were a couple more of the girls checking out the workshop, but they left before I could snap a picture. They love to go in there and poke around. The 'girls', as I lovingly call them, as so curious and cute. We are really enjoying them!
Speaking of the girls, time to go water and feed them, and check for eggs. They will enjoy getting out of the pen this sunny day and pecking at the grass.
Don't forget that NEXT Monday, I will begin my
12 Days of Christmas Celebration!
I'm starting a little earlier this year so as to give you all time to create and bake some of the fun projects I have planned. Don't miss it!
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor
gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not
much better than they?
Matthew 6:26
I have been enjoying watching my neighbors interact with their hens and turkeys. They are such characters!
