It is always sad to lose a follower, and I have noticed that I have lost a couple in the last few weeks. I thank those of you who have stuck with me the last two months as we have been busy with our son's wedding and our big move. I appreciate all of you so much and want to say a big
THANK YOU
for visiting my humble blog. I am always looking to improve and would certainly welcome any suggestions/comments of how I can do better.
I often wonder why someone leaves a blog following! It certainly is not you....we all get it from time to time.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy,
ReplyDeleteof course Im still here. :)
I did want to say, it may be Blogger.
I have noticed that there have been blog I know I follow. But will notice on others blogs, post from them. Wonder why it isnt showing up on my sidebar. Go to it, and it say... Join this site.
Which I know I already do, but when I click on it say, Now Following.
So all I can figure is it is a Blogger glitch that is unfollowing me.
Who knows, but maybe that is it.
Or maybe I'm just CrAzY. ;) LOL!
Hugs,
Tam
It's always sad to lose a follower but don't lose heart your friends won't go anywhere. My pledge for this season is to comment, comment, comment. it's great to say 'Hello' when you've been for a visit! It's like leaving a calling card.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Angela.
Hi, I always enjoy your blog, i don't leave a whole of comments but I do read it.Hope you are settling in and enjoying your new home, perfect time to have a new place to decorate with the holidays coming up. Followers come and go.
ReplyDeleteI noticed I lost a couple of followers in the past week also. I try not to take it personally, and I'm not even sure why it bothered me so much, but it did. I guess you always question yourself and wonder why.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy,
ReplyDeleteThe same thing has happened to me. I try not to take it personally. It is just a busy time of year for a lot of people. I haven't even had much time to do much sewing. I plan to have a giveaway soon as soon as I figure out what I want to giveaway LOL.
Have a wonderful week!!
Blessings,
~Rene~
I notice that every days or so, my followers go up or down. I have given up trying to figure it out. Most of the followers aren't commenters anyway. As bloggers, we develop our circle of friends. We know who we can depend on for opinions, verbal comfort, reasons to smile.Everyone of us have events in our lives that dictate to our ability to post or read & comment on other blogs. We have families and activities. No real friend is going to leave your blog because of a brief absence.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
★Linda★
Hi Wendy,
ReplyDeleteStill following but I have noticed it just seems to be such a busy time of year. Only did a third of what I wanted to do this summer. Now it is fall and I have a huge show coming up and not enough inventory. Way behind the curve. Need to PAINT!! Where does the time go?
Enjoy your day,
Barb
congrats on your son getting married... I bet that has kept you very busy...
ReplyDeleteHave a great week
Think you're doing just swell Wendy - I wouldn't keep coming back if I didn't! I think it's natural to lose followers now and again - people become a follower and then realize, perhaps, their taste isn't quite the same, or they have to limit the number of blogs they follow, etc. Think it happens more often than you think!! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteWendy - I always enjoy your pictures of creations and family, your support of new bloggers and those who are having giveaways. Don't know how to fix something that "ain't" broke! Love ya! ~*~Lisa
ReplyDeleteSometimes people just move on, Wendy. Don't take it personally, really. When one friend leaves, another comes in to take their place. Life is busy and we can't always get to the blog as much as we want to. Take care, Vicki
ReplyDeleteTrue friends and followers always stay because they enjoy visiting with you. The one's that leave are like company you're glad didn't stay. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy.. I'm with Linda P.. we all get busy from time to time and don't have time to chat..but not all our followers leave comments or join in our circle of friends..Some of us read our friends post but don't have time to post or like me can't from the Island...But I'm here girlfriend.. Those that leave or are somehow moved by blogger will just miss out on all the good stuff we all share from day to day!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Hugs
Tonya
I'm still here Wendy. I think it's that time of year, I know I've been really busy and sometimes I just don't have the time to spend in blogland. But I do hate it when I get behind ~ takes so long to catch up.
ReplyDeleteThey'll be back!
Prim Blessings
Robin
I think it may be blogger because I have lost followers and they come back and have left comments saying that they know they were a follower and have rejoined. I have also had it happen to me on other blogs that I know I am following and then I am not there anymore.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy!
ReplyDeleteI've been strolling amid your lovely posts and pictures and as soon as I post this will be a new follower :-)
The joy of heart 'n soul sharing our lives online is the closeness of it, opening windows into our worlds and lives. The bit of sadness when someone no longer cares to share comes from the same place of closeness - it feels like a very personal rejection and that's never a good feeling :-(
But as so many have beautifully said already, followers depart (much as it life) for many and varied reasons.
So don't think much of it, or about it! Keep on singing the song you sing here because it's wonderful (and you see from all the comments that your blog is treasured, just the way it is)!
True, followers depart but others arrive!
(like ME lol)
