Good afternoon blogging buddies - Hope you had a lovely weekend. The weather was wonderful here and Mr. Whimzie and I took the opportunity to go pickin' for a table for our new kitchen when we move in a couple weeks. We didn't have much luck finding just the right table, but I did pick up a couple of items that I wanted to share with you.
First is this lovely washstand - I got it for only $50 and it has a lovely finish...not sure why the door looks darker in the picture...it really isn't.
Then I picked up this black bench with stenciling on it...it was also $50. I also picked up a couple of other little items that I won't bore you with, including an old game with it's original pieces to hang on the wall in the carriage room, and a small vintage rolling pin I picked up for $3.
Today I'm working on a couple of new items for my Etsy shop, including a pattern that I have designed for Halloween. I've got to take some time to pack up things in my computer/guest room, as Drew & Maria are due back from their honeymoon on Friday - I'm so anxious to see them and hear all about their trip to Colorado & South Dakota and all points in between. Drew says he took over 500 pictures! It looks like closing on our new old house will be in a little over 2 weeks....can't wait to get in there and start making it our own! Enjoy your day! God bless.
