Also at the flea market, I also grabbed the cute crow candlestick holder...just because I love crows - it was $3.
Today, my new daughter-in-law, Maria and I went to a development in the nearby town that was having lots of garage sales. I didn't find the one thing I was looking for, but was lucky enough to nab a couple old rolling pins for my collection, along with these lovely old blue Ball canning jars with original zinc tops. Love them!
Last week while wheeling and dealing for a wonderful old trunk, which I forgot to take a picture of, I also purchased these wooden houses. They are 17 x 9 and made of solid wood. I'd like to sell these...going to try a couple of the Facebook selling pages, then put them on my Etsy if I don't get any bites. I actually bought 8 of them, but two I gave to our oldest son and his wife, as he wanted a barn and they are both school teachers, so they had to have the school house too. I'll probably keep the rest to decorate my new house. Things seem to be back on track with the house, and if all goes well, we should be painting the walls next weekend and moving stuff in!
I also wanted to share a picture of the angel I finished earlier this week. I really love the way she turned out. She'll look great on the door of my hoosier cabinet, which I have also been busy staining and varnishing. It's almost done! I'll post some pictures by Monday, and I still have to get the hardware put back on.
I'd better get busy on my orders now.
Enjoy your weekend dear friends. God bless!
Cool finds, Wendy! I love those canning jars with the zinc lids, too. :) I found a clear jar today with "Hazel" written on it. I've never seen that kind before so of course I had to have it. :O
