I'm headed to my sewing room to finish up 3-4 projects I have in the works, and will hopefully post pictures later today or tomorrow. It's been a busy week. When I haven't been working, I've been trying to sort through a lot of things and pack some boxes up for our move in July. I feel I got quite a bit accomplished this week, but today is Crafting Day!
The weather early this week was so hot and humid, with a heat index on Tuesday of 101...but it turned quite cool and last night there was even a frost advisory and it is 58 and breezy again today....brrrr....it's amazing how spoiled we get when it gets warm!
I had been planning to share some pictures of a robin's nest and the progress of the eggs inside...but sadly...this morning....the eggs were gone...and no trace of the mommy bird.
Drew & I took time to take Jack for a walk in the woods earlier this week, before Drew started work at Cornell for the summer. Jack loves to play in the water....he moves the rocks all around with his paws and could spend hours doing it. I think perhaps he learned it from Drew & I....because we have a habit of making rock dams in the creek to redirect the water. It's fun to see how much the creek has changed because of the dams we have made in the past. It's something that he and I have done for years...one of those bonding things I guess! lol Here's a couple of pictures from our walk.
Lastly, I wanted to share with you a picture of just one of the 'rhodys' in my back yard. The blooms are just huge this year. I'm not sure if that is because of all the rain we received last month, but they are just beautiful! Hope you all have a beautiful day!
Oh Wendy! Those "rhodys" are gorgeous! Like the birdhouse too : ) Send some of that cooler weather down here to Kentucky! Sure could use some! Blessings, Shirlee
