Yet another giveaway and a couple of loose ends!

It may not seem like much, but I was very excited to wake up to Thunder...and throughout the morning we were treated to flashes of lightening, claps of thunder and rain....yes RAIN....I like it so much better than that yucky white stuff!  I saw a frog in our garden pond yesterday and I burned up my first big pile of sticks from the yard.  It is wonderful to be outside again after our long, long winter.

I'm particularly fond of the next giveaway I'm going to tell you about...it's from Kerri over at The Calico Rabbit.  To celebrate her One Year Blog-iversary, she is giving away her version of the Basil pattern from the contest I held last month.  He's a real cutie...I can't believe she wants to give him away!  Hop on over to her site and enter today!

As some of you may remember, last week I was contacted by a local shop owner who wanted to carry my items. I met with her and she now has several of my items in her shop....but she is such a lovely lady, that she set up a little meeting between me and her distributor, for the purposes of discussing the possibility of my items being featured in shops all around Central New York....well...I had that meeting and the lady is VERY interested in representing me.  The next step is for me to create an inventory list (with pictures) and some samples that she can tote around to different shops to show....I'm kinda in shock right now actually!  So much has changed in just the last few days!  I'm going to have to do some serious thinking about how much time I want to put into the crafts and/or if I still want to keep my small part time job (I only make $9/hr)...the potential for a lot more work is coming my way!  I'm so torn about what I really want to do....so if any of you have some pointers to help me decide, I would certainly appreciate them!

Sign-ups End April 15th!
In other news,  I want to remind you all that there is a little over a week left to join the Pin Keep Swap.  You will find a link for signing up on my right sidebar.  That's it for today....time to get busy on some orders and paperwork.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Oops...almost forgot!  If you have opened a new online shop in the last 6 months, please hop on over to the Sunburnt Cow and enter the New Shop Contest - it is Udderly Amazing.  Just click on the picture below to be taken to the shop.  I encourage you to enter if you are eligible - you'll receive lots of free publicity if you are the winner!

  2. Wendy,
Congrats on your good news about your crafts. You have alot of thinking to do. I guess if it was me I probably wouldn't quit the part time job until I knew for sure that the craft deal will work out. You could always quit later if it turns out to be a great success. While you are thinking, stop on over to my blog. I am having my very first giveaway. Have a great day!
