A Very Happy New Year to you all!

Here it is the last day of 2010!  My goodness where has the time gone?  It seems as if we were just welcoming in 2010.  I hope you all have been having a wonderful holiday season.

I have made so many wonderful blogging friends this year and I am so thankful for you all!  I pray that each of you will  have a year ahead full of many blessings!

My husband, Chris, always has the week between Christmas and New Year's off, which is so nice!  Tonight we are off to our oldest son's home for New Year's Eve.  We used to have a big party each year for friends, but I decided a couple of years ago that it was just too much at an already busy time of the year, so we have opted for a more simple get-together with just the kids.  We always have a blast.

Our second round of company just left yesterday morning.  We had a nice visit with Chris' cousin, who is a flight attendant on American Airlines.  He could only stay a couple days, as he was scheduled for a flight to Madrid - imagine - Madrid for New Years Eve!  What a life.  While he was here, we took him to the William Seward House in Auburn, NY.

We had visited there over a year ago and thought he would enjoy it.  The mansion is chuck full of priceless furniture, china and gifts from kings, queens and dignitaries around the world, which Mr. Seward received while he was Abraham Lincoln's Secretary of State - it is hard to take it all in!  There is so much history there.   The home was all decorated up for Christmas...it was just lovely!  Thought I would share a few pictures of it.  Ooooh...what I wouldn't give to live in this place....dream dream...

I should get busy packing now folks...wishing you all (once again) a very Happy New Year - see you in 2011.
