This cabinet (which I desperately want to find the time to redo) actually has our paper recycling bins inside, along with some large platters and tablecloths. I could have sworn I took a picture of the inside, but when I downloaded the pics, it wasn't there...but you didn't miss much! |
Sweet little 'fake' wooden cabinet that my hubby made for me...it hides... |

After! It's hard to see the finish from this picture, but I painted it black and used an antique walnut poly stain on it. Love it! |
Hi Wendy:) I was trying to figure out what those were on the front of your old cabinet. I know you'll fix it up real nice and primitive. Oh boy, I love the your knick knack shelf. It's beautiful! Even better it's a family heirloom. Thanks for sharing with us:)

Thanks everyone - Trish - I was thinking of doing the cabinet in aged black (great minds think alike) - Carol - the things on the front of the cabinet were decoupaged swags. When I posted that picture it looked even worse than it really is! I did that 20 years ago or so, and I did such a great job on the varnishing of the piece, I almost hate to mess with it, but I am going to..hopefully in the next couple months.
ReplyDeleteHi... love the mixer cover.. I bought one of the cabinets and painted it black for my shop.. I wish I had room in my kitchen to use it..
