Good bye Halloween - Hello Monday

Our Jack o'lanterns this year
A good Monday Morning to you all!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend and weren't too scared last night by all of the trick or treaters! It was a quiet weekend for DH and I, but we took the opportunity to work outside on Saturday and do a much needed cleaning of the laundry/storage room on Sunday.  We cleaned up all the leaves in the yard (again)...one more time should be enough this year..and we cleaned all the leaves out of the fish pond and securely covered it with fencing and netting - NOTHING is getting in there this winter to eat my precious fish.  Two years ago we lost 40 beautiful fish - something squeezed in (mink perhaps) and nibbled them one by one all winter long.  Last year the same thing happened, but of course, there were not as many and as large fish then.  This year we are not running the waterfall so it won't attract critters.  Sunday was spent watching some football and sorting through a lot of things in the laundry room - it is so nice and neat now! Today it is off to work for the morning, then back here to do some housework, etc.  There is a sprinkling of snow on some bushes and the tarps on the woodpiles this morning, so I don't think I'll be doing more outside - brrrr....the woodstove sure was lovely this weekend - so cozy and warm!
Have a wonderful day every and don't forget to enter my giveaway - link on the right sidebar. ~Blessings to you all~

  1. Good morning sweetie! Just wanted to let you know I got my ornie swap out this morning.Sounds like you had a nice weekend around the house.Harvest Blessings!~Amy

  2. What a nice weekend you had. Enjoy your Monday. Thank you so much for my wonderful gift!!! I love it! You are awesome!

  3. Love your pumpkins...we had 20 last night..very quiet..still have candy baggies left over..oh a fire would sound so good right now..it has been raining buckets since around 9pm last night and there are puddles everywhere...hubby spent the day (it was gorgeous) yesterday taking care of the leaves..yet again..we've been out 6 times and still have one more and hopefully we are done..then moving onto barking the yard and be done till spring.;) have a wonderful week ahead.;)

  4. You can tell that some crafty people live at your house...just look at those pumpkins!
I'm glad you had a nice weekend.
We had a small pond a few years ago and we didn't leave it running over the winter. Mostly because it got to darned cold and we were afraid it would freeze the pipes. But our goldfish hibernated on the bottom of the pool under the ice and they did just fine.
Hope those sneaky critters don't come back to visit you again.
