One of my Halloween memories is the year the kids all dressed up like Star Wars characters. We didn't have much extra to buy or make anything extravagant but I managed to make a white canvas jacket for Luke (who already had a light saber), a black cape for Darth Vadar, R2D2 was a painted box and a mixing bowl head piece, Chewbacca was a previous Halloweens animal costume, the snow beast was a 2 yr. old in a furry winter coat, and I found scraps to make a Princess Leia.
I managed to buy a pattern and carefully cut it out in the office and sew when I could find some time. The surface that the sewing machine was on was shared by the PC and the hamster cage.
The morning after I cut out the costume I found the pattern pieces in shreds inside the hamster cage. I had put the pieces to close to the cage. Thank goodness I didn't need them any more.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14423024947233260195noreply@blogger.com
