SPRING DOLL CHALLENGE and a question....

Happy Sunny Morning to you all.

Has anyone else noticed that there is a drop in blogging visits/comments, or is it just my blog?  I've only had 10 gals sign up for my Spring Doll Challenge.  I had such a great response to the Basil the bunny challenge, that I thought for sure more would want to join the fun...

Our dear friend, Danice, from Homespun Hannah's already finished her Spring Doll Challenge, and look at the beautiful doll she created!

She named her Amish Hannah and I love the way she turned out!

Thank you for joining in Danice - Your doll is adorable!

It's not too late for YOU to sign up - simple pattern, no mailing, just creative fun.  Click on the link on my left sidebar to find out more.

Enjoy your day.

  1. Hi Wendy, I would join but I just can't sew. :( Lovely doll Danice made though! Blogging has dropped a lot. I personally got lost there for a while on FB. But I am back.

  2. I think we all have spring fever, lol.
I want to do some dolls, but I need to make the baby quilt and curtains before my grandson comes, way behind and hard to motivate myself lately.

  4. Hi Wendy,
I wish I could join in. I really wanted to but things are so nuts around here, I'm not sure I would have the time to give it the attention it deserves.
I did email myself the pattern post. Just incase. I didn't want to say I was in, then not be able to. I filigreed if I did get one done I would email then.
    Does that make sense?? :)
I am looking forward to seeing everyone's dolls and these challenges are a lot of fun. Hopefully soon my life will calm down and I can get settled.

Danice did an awesome job on hers.

  8. Hi Wendy!
I'm a newcomer to your blog. I came across it from another blog. Anyway, I'd love to join in your spring doll challenge! I told myself that I would make one doll a month and blog about it, but I haven't made a single doll yet this year. My Izannah Walker doll is still half finished on my work table from 2+ years ago. Maybe your challenge will be just what I need to kick start my doll making:). Thank you!

  9. Danice did a lovely job. I can only hope mine turns out that well. I haven't even started but I hope too soon. :0) As far as blogging....the weather has gotten nice so I think people are out and about more. Facebook is okay but blogging is better. :0)

  10. Thank you Wendy for the post, and all of you for the nice compliments. I also have noticed that Blogging stats have dropped. FaceBook is OK, but remember that it is not necessarily craft-specific. Nothing beats our blogging :)

This Challenge pattern is very simple for a beginner, so you all should give it a try. It is quick to assemble. Looking forward to seeing all of the great creations :)

  11. I would love to join you, but I don't make dolls. :( I think it is getting to be spring and summer so a lot of people get outdoors and off their computers. Sales in my online shops really drop this time of year also. I also love to blog much more than FB. FB controls who sees your postings so I blog as I feel that there are more people that I can reach and talk to. Have fun with the doll making. :)

  12. I know I have not been logging as much as I used to or would like to for a while now, whether it is posting, checking, or commenting. I apologize, but I have also noticed that when I do post that comments are down. I think there is just a lot going on right now with everyone, I know that is the case with me. I have not even picked up a needle and thread in months! So don't take it personally, I think it is just the Spring Summer slow down and it will pick up again in the Fall.
